Solar installation inspection

We perform inspections of PV installations performed by other solar installers.

A second opinion is beneficial for the following reasons:

Shade analysis

To ensure that the shade analysis was done correctly and prevent partial shading during the 9am to 3 pm interval, the most valuable time during the day.

Diagrams (electrical wiring and panels layout)

To ensure system design compliance with the National Electrical Code.

Wire sizing and conduit fill calculations

To prevent wire overload and insulation failure, which creates fire and electrocution hazards.

Panels supporting railing system installation and flashing of the roof penetrations

To prevent roof leakage. A properly installed solar panels support system does not compromise roof integrity; however, there are instances when contractors do not install proper flashing to seal roof penetration, or they damage roof asphalt shingles by walking and material handling. There are techniques to prevent roof damage that can be easily implemented during the installation process.

Railing system and panels grounding

To prevent electrocution hazard.

Inverter(s), disconnect, sub-panel (if applicable) installation

To ensure system installation compliance with the National Electrical Code.

Interconnection with home grounding system

To prevent electrocution hazard.
